学术报告会通知 题 目: Silicon-based Device to Beyond 100GHz IC Chip 报告人: 熊永中博士 The Institute of Microelectronics (IME) of Singapore Recently, with the aggressive scaling of the semiconductor process and the emerging markets of high-definition video (HDTV), automotive radar, sensor and so on, silicon based semiconductor technologies have been progressively expanded into the millimeter-waves (mmW) and Terahertz (THz) applications. Cost-effective silicon based millimeter-wave integrated circuits (IC) design and fabrication are increasingly possible and feasible for many applications in medical, security, and non-destructive testing fields, as well as for military applications, such as target discrimination, air and space communications. This talk will introduce silicon based IC circuits and system design techniques for >10Gbps communications. 简历: Yong-Zhong Xiong(熊永中) received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Since September 2001, he has been with the Institute of Microelectronics (IME) of Singapore as a Member of the Technical Staff and PI. He has authored or co-authored over 100 technical papers. His major areas of research include monolithic RF and microwave integrated circuit (RFIC/MMIC) design, and device modeling & characterization, including 1/f, RTS, RF noise. He holds several issued patents. Currently, He has awarded several Terahertz IC design projects with the of funding millions dollars from A*star and is working on CMOS/SiGe IC @94 GHz, 120 GHz and 140 GHz for high speed communication and imaging, sensing applications. |
